How it all began....

Mark and I met online at Match.com!  We were both intrigued by each others "profiles" and decided to meet in person on February 13th, 2006. 

Our first dates included hot dogs, Mark teaching me to snowboard, and many breakfasts around Minneapolis, MN.  After our first kiss on our first date we were pretty much inseperable :)

Within a few months we bought a house in South Minneapolis but never moved in because I was offered a job in Seattle weeks later!  Mark agreed to move to Seattle with me and decided to try to find a job in sales, something he always wanted to try.  So, we became accidental landlords :)

We both began careers we love in Seattle, got our dog Bijoux, moved from the city to the suburbs and had lots of fun living on the West Coast.  We've been able to take advantage of the mountains with skiing, snowboarding, and hiking as well as make the short(er) trip to Hawaii!

The Proposal

Mark and I were on vacation in Whistler, B.C. and our friends Jordan and Sandy were delayed getting in.  Mark had originally planned on proposing at the top of the mountain the next day but got impatient when he found out our friends weren't going to make it.  Also, he was nervous that in all of my grace I would drop the ring in the snow...definite possiblity ;)

So he took Bijoux outside and when he came in he asked to look at my hand.  He said he didn't like the ring I was wearing and I started to get mad because it was a gift from my girlfriends.  He then said that he thought the one he had in his hand would look better and unveiled an amazing diamond solitaire.  My first reaction was, "What?!?!  What!?!?!"  After the initial shock I said yes, of course and we were able to celebrate with Jordan and Sandy skiing in the mountains for the next couple of days.
